- Node.js: 20
- Push-server: 3.0.0
- Redis: 7.2
Description of Fixes and New Features
The major version change to VMBitrix 9.0.0, released in 2024, is due to the transition to CentOS Stream 9. The basic configuration is aimed at providing a machine for websites. Key changes include:
Removed/Hidden Features:
- Adding 2 and N machines to the pool (removal as well)
- Separate roles on the machine(s) in the pool (mysql, memcache, push, web, etc.)
- At startup removed: sphinx, ntlm, transformer (expected to return these roles later)
- Support reduced: scale module, push on nginx, xmpp
- Monitoring hidden
- Removed old software versions: PHP versions from 5.6 to 8.0, Percona Server 5.7
- Support for websites in windows-1251 encoding, now only UTF-8
- Scripts bitrixsetup.php and restore.php for the site (if needed, the user can download and place them in the root of the site for the required project)
- Sudo rights for the bitrix user
- Beta version
Everything Else Remains:
- Websites, their creation and configuration, certificate issuance, software version updates, etc.
- Management through the menu, similar to the current machines version 7.x.

- Base OS: CentOS Stream 9 (install in server mode without GUI, or server+GUI, or desktop)
- Software:
- Front Web Server: nginx (our package bx-nginx)
- Back Web Server: httpd
- Database: Percona Server 8.0
- Push Server: push on Node.js 20 (our package bx-push-server)
- Caching: Redis (needed for push), memcached through the menu
- Mail: msmtp as before (but better through the product admin panel)
- Firewall: firewalld
- Management: menu on the front and Ansible on the back (fixing the Ansible version, our package bx-ansible-core)
Versions:
- Kernel 5.14.0, Python 3.9, OpenSSL 3.2.2
- PHP 8.1 is the default version, with options to upgrade to 8.2 or 8.3
- Ability to downgrade PHP from 8.3/8.2 to 8.1
- Rules for cloud storage have been refined
- nginx updated to version 1.26.1, with OpenSSL updated to 3.2.2 in the nginx build
- The push-server role now installs Node.js version 20
